riginal most probably belonging to a Moro Chieftain, known as a "datu", this style of dagger is known as a Moro Datu Punal. The word punal literally translates in Spanish to "dagger" and is a result of the colonization. It has a wonderful condition double edged steel blade and a heavily figured curved mahogany hilt.  However, the beauty is all in its Silver mounts, which are expertly ornamented.
